Punjab School Education Department (PSED) issued a letter on 20th May, 2019 to all the Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) about the date of birth clarification. As per letter it is being observed that Date of Birth (DOB) conflicts on Secondary School Certificate and CNIC.
It is said that CNIC is being issued by NADRA is an authenticated document and is internationally accepted for issuance of legal documents such as passports, Nikah Nama, Land Record and driving licence etc.
Therefore CNIC is more authentic document than School Leaving Certificate.
So, it is requested to remove any variation in date of birth in CNIC and SSC.
