Workload of head teachers CEO DEA Gujranwala

This is to inform you that it has been observed/ reported that School Heads particularly Elementary school Head Teachers are not taking any period/ class in their respective schools which is against the instructions of the Department and Punjab Education Code as well.
All School heads are to take classes as under:-

1. Elementary School Head 18 periods/ week
2. Higher Secondary Schools/ High Schools Heads 12 periods/ week

As it is mandatory for Heads to teach classes to meet issue of understafffing in public schools. Further Heads involvement in teaching learning activities will help to achieve best result in academics, retention of enrolled students and proper implementation of available human resources.
